Visiting With Your Dog

Located at 1901-1999 E 35th St in Vancouver, this wonderful park has become a favorite spot for my pup and me. When you arrive, you'll find plenty of parking right off E 35th Street, which makes getting your furry friend in and out of the car super convenient. The park features both open grassy areas perfect for fetching and running, plus scenic trails that wind through the grounds—ideal if your dog enjoys a bit of exploration mixed with their playtime.

I'd recommend visiting early in the morning or late afternoon, especially during warmer months, as you'll encounter fewer crowds and your dog will be more comfortable. The off-leash areas give pups plenty of freedom to socialize and burn off energy, though I always bring a long leash just in case. Speaking from experience, pack a collapsible water bowl and bring plenty of fresh water—there's nothing worse than a thirsty pup on a warm day. Waste bags are essential, and sunscreen for yourself isn't a bad idea either.

What makes this spot particularly great is how it anchors a larger outing around Vancouver's dog-friendly community. After an hour or so at the park, we'll often head over to Dandelion Teahouse & Apothecary nearby, where I can grab a beverage while my dog relaxes in the shade.
