Visiting With Your Dog
If you're looking for a peaceful riverside escape with your pup, Langus Riverfront Park is absolutely worth the trip. Located along the Snohomish River in Everett, this scenic gem offers everything your dog could want for a great day out.
When you arrive, you'll find plenty of parking right near the entrance at 400 Smith Island Road, making it easy to get your dog out and on the trails quickly. The park features well-maintained walking paths that wind along the riverbank, offering beautiful views and plenty of interesting smells to keep your dog engaged. The open green spaces are perfect for letting your pup stretch their legs and burn off some energy. I'd recommend visiting early in the morning or on weekday afternoons if you prefer a quieter experience with fewer crowds.
Bring plenty of water for your dog—more than you think you'll need—since there's no guarantee of water sources throughout the park. A collapsible bowl is lightweight and convenient. Also pack waste bags; while the park doesn't have dedicated stations, you'll want to clean up after your dog on the trails. Depending on the season, the riverside areas can get muddy, so be prepared for a bath when you get home.
One of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is combining a visit here with a stop at one of the nearby spots. After a good walk, I'll grab a coffee and a treat from U-Neek while my dog relaxes in the shade nearby. If you're looking for something a bit more substantial, Scuttlebutt Brewing's taproom is just around the corner and welcomes pups in their outdoor seating area—perfect for unwinding after your riverside adventure.
The park's 4.4-star rating reflects what locals already know: this is a fantastic destination for dogs who love nature and open spaces. Whether you're a casual visitor or a regular, Langus Riverfront Park delivers a refreshing outdoor experience that both you and your dog will enjoy.
